    Hi Mistro

From your description, Classic Outlook does not open properly, and when it does, it keeps asking for the password repeatedly.

Have you already tried the steps from Q&A Assist? If yes, what happened? To let me guide you better, could you please also confirm:

    • Does Outlook fail to open at all, or does it open and then go into a password prompt loop?
    • Is this a Microsoft account (Outlook.com/Hotmail) or a third-party account such as Gmail/Yahoo?

    In addition, please try these:

1, Start Outlook in safe mode

    • Close Classic Outlook app completely
    • Press Windows + R, type outlook.exe /safe > press Enter
    • If Outlook is stable in Safe Mode, disable add-ins (Go to File > Options > Add-ins > Manage: COM Add-ins > Go) and re-enable them one by one to find the culprit.

2, Try to Repair Office (Online Repair) and, if needed, create a new Outlook profile:

Please kindly follow the official troubleshooting steps here: Outlook crashes or stops responding when used with Office 365 - Microsoft Support

Feel free to let me know how it goes so I'd be happy to assist you further. I truly appreciate your time and understanding!

Try the following steps in order:

    1. Clear saved credentials
      • Open Control Panel > Credential Manager > Windows Credentials.
      • Remove any entries related to Outlook, Office, or Microsoft 365.
      • Close Credential Manager.
      • Start Outlook again and enter the password when prompted.
    2. Repair the Outlook profile
      • Open Control Panel > Mail > Show Profiles.
      • Select the current profile and choose Remove (this does not delete server mail, but local-only data such as PSTs should be backed up first).
      • Create a new profile and add the email account again.
      • Start Outlook using the new profile and sign in.
    3. Enable Office Internet connectivity (if Outlook still loops on password)
      • In Outlook, go to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings.
      • Select Privacy Options.
      • Make sure Allow Office to connect to the Internet is checked.
      • Restart Outlook and test again.
    4. Update Office/Outlook
      • Open any Office app (for example, Word).
      • Go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now.
      • After updates complete, restart the PC and then start Outlook.

If Outlook still will not open reliably after these steps, completely uninstall Office (not just Outlook) and reinstall it from the Microsoft 365 subscription, then add the account again and sign in.
