    Hi Vijay,

Since you said the problem arose with updates, let us work on that part.

To remove the most recent update, please follow these steps to access the Windows Recovery environment:

    1. Open the Settings app by pressing the Win + I keys.
    2. Navigate to System > Recovery.
    3. Click the ""Restart Now"" button next to Advanced Startup.
    4. Choose the Troubleshoot option.
    5. Select ""Uninstall Updates,"" then choose either ""Uninstall Latest Quality Update"" or ""Uninstall Latest Cumulative Update.""

    Allow the process to complete.

I’m eager to hear back and work together to find a solution.

Follow these steps in order; test the sound after each step.

    1. Check Windows Update and restart
      • Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates.
      • Install all available updates.
      • Restart using Start > Power > Update and restart (if shown) so audio-related updates apply.
    2. Update the audio driver automatically
      • In the taskbar search box, type device manager and open it.
      • Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
      • Right-click the laptop’s audio device (for example, Realtek or High Definition Audio) and select Update driver.
      • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software and complete the wizard.
      • If Windows reports no newer driver, go to the laptop manufacturer’s support site and install the latest audio driver for the exact model.
    3. Reinstall the audio driver
      • In Device Manager, expand Sound, video and game controllers.
      • Right-click the audio device and select Uninstall device.
      • Check Delete the driver software for this device, then select Uninstall.
      • Restart the laptop (save work first). Windows will reinstall the audio driver automatically.
    4. Try the generic Windows audio driver
      • Open Device Manager and expand Sound, video and game controllers.
      • Right-click the audio device and select Update driver.
      • Select Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
      • Select the generic High Definition Audio driver (or similar) and complete the installation.
    5. Roll back the audio driver (if issue started after update)
      • Open Device Manager and expand Sound, video and game controllers.
      • Right-click the audio device and select Properties.
      • On the Driver tab, select Roll Back Driver and follow the instructions, then choose Yes to confirm.
    6. If nothing helps, restore from a system restore point
      • Use a restore point created before the update that caused the issue. See "Restore from a system restore point" in Recovery options in Windows for exact steps.

If the volume slider still behaves strangely (for example, keeps dropping), repeat the uninstall driver step, restart, then ensure all Windows Updates (including Optional updates) are installed.
