Certificate Renewal Assistance

I attempted to apply on the same day it expired, but the system indicated that I was not eligible to renew. Could you please advise if there is any alternative process that would allow me to renew my certificate without having to retake the exam? I am willing to cover any additional charges required to complete the renewal.

Your certification will have expired at midnight UTC at the beginning of the expiry date, you needed to have renewed in the 180 days the renewal was open before the expiry date.

For future certification renewals, there is no point in waiting until the last possible moment to renew; the expiry date is extended 12 months from the expiry date not the date you pass the renewal assessment.

The renewal period is open for 180 days before your expiry date. The renewal window cannot be extended or reopened.

If your certification expires, you must earn the certification again by passing the required exam.

Certification renewal is only possible while the certification is still active. Renewal can be done during the six‑month window before the certification expiration date and must be completed before the certification actually expires. Once a certification has expired—even if it is only by one day—it cannot be renewed via the online renewal assessment, and there is no alternative renewal path or paid exception process.

When a certification expires, the only way to hold that certification again is to earn it anew by passing the required exam(s) again.
