Hi Team, we’re trying to explore the calendar, outlook and email tools provided by Microsoft Graph MCP Server as per - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-agent-365/mcp-server-reference/mail, but it looks like we need a Front Tier program license. We’re not sure which license is required, and we already have an Exchange Online plan. Could you please guide us on what license we need to use?

For early access to the Microsoft Graph MCP Server (including calendar, Outlook, and email tools) under Microsoft Agent 365, participation in the Frontier preview program is required.

    In the Frontier program:

    • Agent 365 licenses are assigned per agent instance and are required before an agent instance (such as one using the Microsoft Graph MCP Server) can be created.
    • These preview licenses are separate from existing Exchange Online plans.

At general availability (planned for May 1, 2026):

    • Agent 365 will be licensed per user.
    • All agents acting on behalf of a licensed user are covered under that user’s Agent 365 or Microsoft 365 E7 license; agents themselves do not need separate licenses.

Since an Exchange Online plan alone does not grant access to the Frontier preview features, enrollment in the Frontier program and assignment of the appropriate Agent 365 preview licenses are required to explore the Microsoft Graph MCP Server tools now.
