Hey there! Nice to meet you!

The error message you are experiencing indicates that your account is temporarily blocked due to the system detecting unusual activity.

Since you have access to your recovery phone number, kindly perform these steps to fix the verification method error:

    1. Perform a password reset via Incognito/InPrivate window using different devices and network services.
    2. If it doesn't work, wait exactly 48 hours to reset the password.
    3. If the issue persists, kindly wait exactly 1 week to perform another password reset. The idea is to wait for the account lock to expire first before you reset the password, as stated in this article: https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/troubleshooting-verification-code-issues-409090c4-92b5-42b9-8ae6-bcc97e62fc48#:~:text=If%20you%20received%20a%20Microsoft%20verification%20code%20that%20you%20did#:~:text=If%20you%20received%20a%20Microsoft%20verification%20code%20that%20you%20did

Important: Please make sure not to attempt to sign in or reset the password within that timeframe (48 hours or 1 week), as this may reset the lock cooldown.

Thank you for your understanding! Please feel free to let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl

Direct contact with Microsoft Thailand on behalf of a customer is not possible. Only the official Microsoft support and recovery processes can be used.

For this situation (cannot sign in on the web, 2-step verification blocked, but account still works in the iOS Mail app), the supported options are:

    1. Use the official sign-in helper and recovery paths
      • Start with the Sign-in Helper tool: Sign-in helper. This can detect most sign-in issues and route to the correct flow.
      • If the account is not recognized or shows errors like “account doesn’t exist,” follow the guidance under “Steps to recover your Microsoft account,” including the Sign-in Helper tool and recovery form.
      • If the password is not accepted, use the reset flow described in “Reset your password” from the same article.
    2. If verification codes are not working
      • If verification codes do not arrive or the same phone number is requested twice and fails, follow the guidance in “Troubleshoot Microsoft verification code issues.”
      • If codes still cannot be received, another method must be chosen, or it is necessary to wait until access to the registered phone or email is available. Support agents are not allowed to send verification codes or change account security details.
    3. If the security info (phone/email) is wrong or unusable
      • When prompted for a verification method that cannot be used, select “I don't have any of these” and follow the prompts to update security info, as described in “Common problems with two-step verification for a work or school account.”
      • If the phone/email shown is unfamiliar or incorrect, confirm the email address spelling and domain (.com, .co.uk, etc.). If it is correct but still unusable, proceed to account recovery.
    4. Use the Microsoft account recovery form (if locked out)
      • If normal reset and verification fail, complete the Microsoft account recovery form as described in the “I can't sign in to my Microsoft account” and Q&A references. Include as much accurate information as possible and submit from a familiar device and location.
      • If the form is rejected, it can be updated and resubmitted. Only this process can restore access when 2-step verification blocks sign-in.
    5. Contact Microsoft Support (to speak with a person)
      • Go to the Microsoft Support contact page: Contact Microsoft Support.
      • Enter a description such as “recover account” or “account sign-in problem” and select Get Help.
      • Scroll down and choose Contact Support.
      • Sign in with any Microsoft account that is accessible (if necessary, create a new one) and choose the product area (for example, Outlook.com / Microsoft account / Manage Account Security).
      • Choose the option to Chat with a support agent in your web browser or a callback option if available in the region.
      • Explain that 2-step verification is blocking sign-in and that the account is still accessible via the iOS Mail app.

If the account has not been signed in on the web for more than two years, it may have been deleted and cannot be restored, but in this case the account is still working in the iOS Mail app, so the recovery and support paths above apply.
