    Hi!

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Can I get a bit more information like when was the last time that you have accessed this website without any error? May I ask and confirm what browser are you using when the error appeared?

Ping only verifies that the domain name resolves and that the server responds to ICMP; it does not guarantee that a website is reachable over HTTP/HTTPS. When a browser shows “This site can’t be reached” while ping works, the problem is usually at the web service, protocol, or filtering level rather than basic connectivity.

Use these steps on Windows 11 to narrow it down:

    1. Verify basic network and name resolution
      • Since ping to bergencountygolf.cps.golf succeeds, IP connectivity and DNS name resolution are working. No further ping options are required for this specific issue, but note that ping is primarily for connectivity and name resolution troubleshooting.
    2. Test with another browser and device
      • Try opening the site from a different browser (for example, Microsoft Edge vs. another browser) on the same PC.
      • Test from a different device on the same network (phone, another PC).
      • If it works elsewhere but not on one browser or device, the issue is likely local (cache, extensions, security software, or browser settings).
    3. Clear browser cache and test InPrivate
      • In Edge, open an InPrivate window and try the site there. If it works in InPrivate, clear cached images and files and cookies in the normal profile, then try again.
      • If a page or thread only works in InPrivate, clearing cached images and files for “All time” often resolves profile‑specific issues.
    4. Check security software and filtering
      • Security suites (for example, antivirus, web protection, or parental controls) can block specific domains while still allowing ping.
      • Temporarily disable web protection or URL filtering in the security suite and test again. If the site then loads, adjust the security product’s settings or allowlist the domain.
      • If using a third‑party firewall or DNS filtering (for example, in a security suite or router), check whether the domain is being blocked.
    5. Check for protocol or TLS issues
      • Some browsers or configurations can block sites due to TLS or protocol settings while ping continues to work.
      • If many HTTPS sites fail but ping works, inspect advanced browser security flags or settings and security software TLS inspection. Reverting any recent changes or disabling experimental TLS features can restore access.
    6. Confirm the web server is actually serving HTTP/HTTPS
      • If the domain responds to ping but the web server behind it is misconfigured, down, or not listening on port 80/443, browsers will fail with “This site can’t be reached.”
      • In that case, the issue is on the site owner’s side; there is nothing to fix on the local Windows 11 machine beyond confirming that other sites work normally.

If other websites work fine on the same PC and network, and only bergencountygolf.cps.golf fails in all browsers and devices, the most likely cause is a problem with that site’s web service rather than Windows or the local network.
