Language changed to Finish after unusual activity detected

How do I change the language back to English? I used the usual approach via Settings and it did not work.

I saw that you put this question in the Classic Outlook category, Can you please first confirm if it is the language in the app itself, or are you seeing Finnish as well when you go to www.outlook.com via the web browser?

Change the Windows and account language back to English, because Outlook for Windows uses those settings for its interface.

1. Change Windows display language
   1. Select Start → Settings → Time & language → Language & region.
   2. Under Windows display language, select English.
   3. If English is not listed, add it under Preferred languages, then set it as the Windows display language.
2. Make sure English is first in Preferred languages (for apps like Outlook)
   1. In Settings → Time & language → Language & region, look at Preferred languages.
   2. Drag English to the top of the list. This controls the language used by Microsoft Store apps and some desktop apps.
3. Check Microsoft account / browser language if Outlook UI is still in Finnish
   1. Go to the browser used for sign-in and set its display language to English (for example, in Edge: Settings → Languages → move English to the top and use it as the display language).
   2. Sign in to the Microsoft account profile page and confirm the display language is English.

After these changes, restart Outlook. If the interface language was driven by Windows/app language, it should return to English.
