A cloud-based identity and access management service for securing user authentication and resource access
I cannot login to Azure portal with MSA account
Hello,
I’m locked out of Azure Portal due to a Microsoft Entra ID MFA deadlock on a Personal Microsoft Account (MSA).
- Affected account: <Pii removed>
- Tenant domain: <Pii removed>
Tenant ID: <Pii removed>
Symptom: portal.azure.com forces Entra MFA and prompts for a 6‑digit code, but Microsoft Authenticator only generates 8‑digit Microsoft Account codes for this MSA. Push approvals don’t arrive. This is a hard deadlock — I cannot complete sign-in.
Constraints:
- I cannot access mysignins / mysecurityinfo / Entra admin portals because they block personal accounts (“use work or school”).
- I am not a Global Admin in that tenant, and I have no other admin account to reset MFA.
- I also can’t open a support request in the portal due to RBAC/subscription gating.
This matches a known “tenant lockout / MSA-Entra MFA desynchronization” scenario.
Request: Please escalate to Microsoft Entra Identity / Data Protection to either:
- Reset the Entra-side MFA registration for <PII REMOVED> in tenant <PII removed>..., or
- Detach/remove the MSA from the tenant, so Azure stops enforcing Entra MFA for this identity.
This is not a billing/subscription issue; it is an Entra identity backend fix.
