Microsoft Surface Duo (Partitions Wiped).

I am writing to request technical repair service for my Microsoft Surface Duo. Due to an accidental error while executing ADB/Fastboot commands, the device's partition table (GPT) and all core OS partitions have been completely wiped.

Currently, the device only turns on to the Bootloader page. However, since the fundamental partition structure is missing, I am unable to flash the official stock recovery or OS images through standard fastboot methods. The device essentially requires official Microsoft internal service tools (like authorized EDL flashing) to rebuild the partitions and restore the operating system.

Thank you for your time and support.

The Surface Duo uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, which means it has EDL Mode — Qualcomm's low-level flashing interface that operates below the bootloader. Since your GPT is gone, standard fast boot can't work because there's no partition table for it to reference. EDL bypasses all of that and writes directly to the eMMC/UFS storage.

    Visit:

    Choose:

Surface → Repair → Out of warranty

You need the device-specific Qualcomm Firehose programmer (.elf file) for the SM8150

Microsoft has not publicly released this

Some community members on XDA Developers (Surface Duo forums) have had partial success — this is worth checking before spending money on repair.
