Me and my friend have followed all the steps necessary for gameshare to work, but the specific game we are trying to share won’t show up on my account. Everything else that has to do with gamesharing is showing up, like his gamepass subscription. I would just like to know if there is a problem on my end or if i can get more direction on how to make it work. The game is MLB the show 26

For Xbox game sharing, only certain content types are shared. The behavior described matches the expected sharing model and may not be a problem with the setup.

    Key points to check:

    1. Verify the Home Xbox setup
      • On the purchaser’s console, go to Settings > Personalization > My home Xbox and ensure that console is set as the purchaser’s Home Xbox.
      • On a Home Xbox, the purchaser’s digital games and durable add-ons are shared with anyone who signs in on that console, even if the purchaser’s account is not signed in.
    2. Confirm the content type of the game
      • Digital games and durable add-ons (DLC) purchased from Microsoft Store are shareable on the Home Xbox.
      • Consumable add-ons (for example, in‑game currency like V‑Bucks or similar consumables) are not shared and are always tied to the purchasing account only.
      • If the “game” in question is actually a consumable or a non‑shareable entitlement, it will not appear on the other account even though Game Pass and other games do.
    3. Check where the game was purchased and its license
      • If the game is part of a subscription (for example, Xbox Game Pass), it should be accessible on the Home Xbox as long as the subscription is active and the console is correctly set as Home Xbox.
      • If the game is a separate digital purchase, it should also be available under the non‑purchasing account on the Home Xbox unless it is a consumable‑only item.
    4. Test on the purchaser’s account
      • Sign in with the purchaser’s account on the same console and confirm the game appears and launches normally there.
      • If it does not appear even for the purchaser, there may be an entitlement or installation issue with that specific title rather than game sharing.

If Game Pass and other shared games are working but this one title does not appear, the most likely cause is that the item is not a shareable durable game license (for example, it is consumable content) or it is not owned as a standalone digital game.
