Hello

Gmail.com has blocked all incoming emails from our domain for 28 days..

Postmaster shows that one of our ISP-s IP address was in the Abusix black list but was removed 4 days ago.

Today, the emails are still getting rejected by gmail as the IP reputation is bad since 02.02.2026.

DKIM, DMARC,SPF are all ok.

Is there a way to improve this?

Added the error log as attachment.

Peep

Gmail is still rejecting mail because the sending IP/domain reputation remains low even after removal from the Abusix list. Reputation recovery is separate from RBL delisting and can take time, especially if Gmail has seen a sustained period of spam-like traffic.

To improve the situation, focus on the specific factors Gmail uses for reputation and delivery decisions:

    1. Confirm the IP/domain are clean on all major RBLs
Google Postmaster’s "Delivery errors" section explicitly flags:
      • IP is in one or more public RBLs – work with each RBL to get the IP delisted.
      • Domain is in one or more public RBLs – work with each RBL to get the domain delisted. Even though Abusix is cleared, verify the IP and domain against other public RBLs and ensure they are fully removed.
    2. Check Google Postmaster dashboards for root causes
      In Postmaster, review:
      • IP reputation and Domain reputation: if they show Bad or Low, Gmail will continue to reject or spam-folder messages until reputation improves.
      • Spam rate: bulk senders must keep spam rate under 0.30% (as measured in Google Postmaster Tools). If spam complaints are above this, Gmail will maintain a poor reputation.
      • Delivery errors: look for specific reasons such as:
        • Sending IP has a low reputation
        • Sending domain has a low reputation
        • Email content is possibly spammy
        • Bad or unsupported attachment
    3. Ensure full authentication and alignment are consistently passing
Postmaster’s Authentication dashboard should show very high pass rates for:
      • SPF
      • DKIM
      • DMARC (with a valid DMARC record published) Even if DKIM/DMARC/SPF are configured, confirm that the percentages in Postmaster are close to 100% for the traffic Gmail sees.
    4. Meet bulk sender requirements (if sending at volume)
For bulk or marketing traffic (especially >5,000 messages/day to Gmail):
      • Ensure domains used with Exchange/relays are fully authenticated and aligned.
      • Implement and expose one‑click unsubscribe and a visible unsubscribe link in promotional mail.
      • Avoid using consumer domains like gmail.com or yahoo.com in the From: address for bulk mail, as this can trigger DMARC enforcement and hurt delivery.
    5. Reduce spam signals from content and recipients
Based on Postmaster’s "Delivery errors" and "Spam rate" graphs:
      • Remove or pause sending to recipients who have not engaged recently or who may not have opted in.
      • Avoid content patterns that may be considered spammy (excessive links, misleading subjects, unsupported attachments).
      • Ensure attachments are of common, supported types and not overly large.
    6. Check for infrastructure issues that hurt reputation
      Postmaster may show:
      • Bad or missing PTR record – ensure the sending IP has a correct reverse DNS (PTR) that matches the HELO/EHLO and aligns with the sending domain.
      • IP/domain in RBLs – as above, fully clear these.
    7. Monitor over time and ramp up gradually
After cleaning lists, fixing authentication, and ensuring no RBL listings:
      • Start with low‑volume, highly engaged recipients (who open and click) to rebuild positive signals.
      • Monitor IP and domain reputation in Postmaster daily; improvements can take days to weeks depending on prior negative history.

If the IP reputation remains "Bad" in Postmaster and delivery errors continue to show low IP/domain reputation after these steps, continue to minimize volume and spam complaints while monitoring until Gmail’s reputation metrics improve.
