For Microsoft Learn and Azure training-related profiles, the name shown on certificates and transcripts comes from the Microsoft Learn profile and/or the underlying Microsoft account.
To correct the given name from “WU” to the correct value, update the display name in the profile settings:
- Open Microsoft Learn and select the profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings.
- Under Personal info, username, and URL, update the display name so that the given name and surname are in the correct fields.
- Select Save.
This updates the name shown on the public profile, certificates, and transcripts.
If the issue is with the legal name used for proctored exams (for example, for a certification like AZ‑900, AZ‑104, etc.), and the legal name was entered incorrectly, support is required to correct it:
- Go to the certification support page: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/support/help
- Submit a request explaining that the given name and surname were entered incorrectly and need correction.
- Provide the correct legal name exactly as it appears on government ID.
Support can then update the legal name used for exam registration and scheduling.
