My email account was hacked last Friday and I changed my account password, but I can't receive emails afterword. Please resolve the issue for me. Thank you.

    Hi MA,

Please do these three things - I assume it is not a Microsoft exchange account.

    1. Delete any unknown or suspicious contacts from Outlook
      • Open Outlook → Go to People / Contacts
      • Review all saved contacts carefully
      • Remove any entries you don’t recognize or didn’t add yourself
    2. Clear all pending or suspicious tasks via Microsoft To Do
      • Open Microsoft To Do (web or app)
      • Check all lists including Tasks, Planned, Flagged Email
      • Delete any unfamiliar or automatically created tasks
        1. Check and remove any malicious or unwanted Outlook rules
      • In Outlook, go to Settings (⚙️) → Mail → Rules
      • Look for rules that:
      • Automatically delete emails
      • Move emails to Junk/Spam/Deleted Items
      • Forward emails to unknown addresses
      • Delete any suspicious rules immediately
      • Save changes and restart Outlook
    3. Also verify Junk Email settings
      • Go to Settings → Mail → Junk email
      • Check blocked/safe senders list
      • Remove anything suspicious or unfamiliar
    4. Optional but recommended
      • Change your account password
      • Enable 2-step verification for added security

I hope this information helps. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

Otherwise, please take a moment to rate the answer. Wishing you good luck!
