Hi,
I assume you are talking about the Widgets news feed. You can easily disable that by Opening Widgets >Settings > Turn off Discover. Refer to the Image below:
How do I remove MSN from my computer?
I dislike the way MSN presents its news. I dislike many of the subjects I am offered for viewing. Please help me to not have it coming on when I accidentally click in that area. I have very shaky hands.

Learn moreMSN itself cannot be fully removed from Windows, but its news content and feeds can be hidden or minimized so they no longer appear when interacting with common entry points like Microsoft Edge or the Windows taskbar.
To stop seeing the MSN news feed in Microsoft Edge:
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- On the default start page (new tab page), select the settings cog in the upper-right corner.
- To reduce the feed: choose Focused mode. This hides the feed at the top; it is only visible if scrolling down.
- To turn the feed off entirely: choose Custom mode, then set Content to Content Off. This prevents MSN news from appearing on the start/new tab page.
If using an older version of Microsoft Edge:
- On the Edge default homepage, select the Hide Feed link at the top right.
- On the customization page, under Page Display Settings, select either Top Sites or A Blank Page instead of the feed.
- This removes the MSN news feed from the start page so accidental clicks will no longer open it.
To reduce MSN/news content in Windows 10 “news and interests” on the taskbar (if enabled):
- On the Windows desktop, press Tab until focus is on the taskbar, then move to the weather icon (this opens news and interests).
- Press Enter to open the window.
- For each card (news, weather, etc.), use Tab to reach the More options button and press Enter.
- Use the menu to:
- Choose Hide This widget to remove unwanted cards, or
- Use options like More stories like this / Fewer stories like this to reduce unwanted topics.
This does not uninstall MSN, but it prevents its news feed from appearing on the Edge start page and lets unwanted cards be hidden so accidental clicks are less likely to show unwanted MSN content.
