Important emails are being blocked. I am not receiving important 2-step verification emails on my live.ca account in the past few months. I have checked my blocked sender list and they are not on it.

No it has not been solved, I have checked my spam/junk, checked my blocked list and I have no rules so not sure why I stopped receiving many of my emails.

    Welcome Leslie Drake,

Please note that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to hide your personal information in the description. Kindly ensure that you hide any personal or organizational information the next time you post an error or other details to protect personal data.

I understand how frustrating it can be when you are not receiving important two-step verification emails on your Outlook account, even though the senders are not listed in your blocked senders list.

To help identify the fastest resolution, please confirm the following:

    • Are the missing verification emails from Microsoft only, or also from third‑party services?
    • Are you accessing this mailbox mainly through Outlook on the web, or also through a mail app or email client?

In the meantime, you can try the workaround steps below to troubleshoot the issue:   In the meantime, you can try these steps:

Step 1: Check the Junk Email folder

    • Sign in to Outlook on the web
    • Open the Junk Email folder
    • If you find the verification email, select it and mark it as Not junk

Step 2: Add the sender to Safe senders

    • Go to Settings (Gear icon) > Mail, then Junk email
    • Add the sender’s email address or domain to Safe senders and domains

    Step 3: Review Inbox rules

    • Go to Settings (Gear icon) > Mail, then Rules
    • Remove or disable any rule that deletes or moves incoming mail automatically

Step 4: Turn off Focused Inbox temporarily

    • Go to Settings > Mail, then Layout
    • Turn off Focused Inbox and check the Other inbox

Step 5: Check email sync settings

    • Go to Settings > Mail, then Sync email
    • Make sure all folders are enabled for syncing

I really hope that the information I gave above was helpful to you. Please feel free to reply below and let me know if you have further concern on this matter.
