Purchased a gift card, used it, and it doesn't work on my PC.

I entered a gift code for Microsoft to use on the Xbox game, Dead By Daylight, with the DLC pack Resident Evil: Project W. It says I need a console to get the DLC and I do not own a console, I use the PC version of Xbox.

Microsoft gift cards and content codes are tied to the platform and store they are issued for. Once a gift card or code is redeemed to a Microsoft account, the balance or entitlement is non-transferable and cannot be moved or resold to another platform or store.

Because the DLC is marked as “console required,” it will only work with Dead by Daylight on an Xbox console that uses the same Microsoft account where the code was redeemed. It cannot be used for the PC version of the game, even if that PC version is accessed through the Xbox app on Windows.
