Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
To speak with someone about monthly Microsoft 365 or Office subscription charges, use the official Microsoft support channels and, if needed, first identify which subscription is being billed.
- If the charge is not clearly recognized:
- Go to the Manage your payments page of the Microsoft account dashboard and select “Investigate” next to the charge. This helps identify if it is a subscription, in-app purchase, family member purchase, or a repeated/declined charge. See: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2246882
- If the charge is confirmed and direct help is needed:
- Go to the Microsoft Support site: https://support.microsoft.com/home/contact
- Sign in with the Microsoft account that is being billed.
- Select the product category such as Microsoft 365 & Office.
- Under category/issue type, choose something like Billing and Payment updates or Manage my subscription.
- Proceed to Get Help → Contact support.
- Choose Chat with a support agent in your web browser or request a callback/phone support if offered in the region.
- If the charge might be an unrecognized or duplicate subscription charge:
- Follow the investigation guidance at: https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/how-to-investigate-a-billing-charge-from-microsoft-398c5328-364c-d5e4-ea8f-f5ad60562a93
- If the subscription is located and needs to be canceled or refunded, check eligibility and request a refund as described here: https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/how-to-get-a-refund-on-a-microsoft-subscription-67dca30b-b323-44d5-acc2-e02f9902c472
If support and the account tools cannot locate the transaction on any Microsoft account, the next step is to contact the bank or card issuer to dispute the charge as potentially fraudulent.
