Folders in edge disappeared

Question

I understand microsoft decided to eliminate the favorite folders in Edge...I like edge but i think i'm going to go to Firefox. I liked the ability to put favorites in folders...it helped me organize my favorites and, I can still have my folders in Firefox.. bye bye Edge! It was nice while it lasted! P.S.: please fire the person(s) who got rid of the ability to put favorites in folders...

Favorites folders have not been removed from Microsoft Edge; organizing favorites into folders is still supported.

To view and organize favorites into folders in Edge on Windows 11:

1. Select Settings and more (…) in the upper-right corner.
2. Select Favorites.
3. In the Favorites window, use the left-hand tree to see folders such as Favorites bar and Other favorites. New folders can be created there, and favorites can be dragged between folders.
4. To sort items in a folder (for example, the Favorites bar) alphabetically:
   1. Go to Settings and more > Favorites.
   2. In the Favorites window, select More options > Open favorites page.
   3. Right-click on the Favorites bar page and select Sort by name.

If favorites or folders appear to have “disappeared,” they may be:

• Under a different folder such as Other favorites in the Favorites tree.
• Associated with a different Edge profile. Check the profile button next to the address bar and switch back to the original profile if a new one was created.
• Not syncing correctly. Open Settings and more > Settings > Profiles > Sync and ensure Favorites sync is turned on.

Favorites folders remain the primary way to organize saved sites in Edge; Collections being retired does not remove favorites or favorites folders.
