I submitted the account recovery form yesterday and haven't received a response yet. I think my account is locked, which is why the recovery code wasn't sent to my email. Please let me know how long I have to wait to receive a response and have my account recovered. Thank you.

I used the recovery code to recover my email and password (see image below).

But I can't log in using my password. I entered my Gmail account correctly, but it says "We couldn't send the code, please try again," so I can't log in. Also, I haven't accessed the account recovery form in a long time, so I don't remember the details; it's very difficult to recall. Please help me.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Do you have any other method, such as a recovery phone number or an authenticator app, to verify your identity instead of your recovery email?

Select 'Other ways to sign in' on the screen you've uploaded and see if you can use any other Verification methods.

Alternatively, you can try connecting your device to a different Wi-Fi network, such as a mobile hotspot network, and sign in.

    1. Open an incognito tab on a mobile web browser. (Ensure you have turned on Mobile data instead of Wi-Fi)
    2. Then, paste the link below to reset your Microsoft account password: https://account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx
    3. See if you can receive the Verification code and reset your password.

If you are still experiencing issues, you can try the account recovery form -

    https://account.live.com/acsr

Remember to use a familiar device from which you've frequently accessed your Microsoft account, as well as a familiar location. Microsoft will review your responses and respond within 24 hours. If you are verified, instructions on how to log back into your account will be sent to you, and if you are not verified, you will need to submit the Account Recovery form again. You can do this up to 2 times every 24 hours.

The error means Microsoft is currently unable to send a verification code to the email address configured as security info. Use the supported recovery paths instead of relying on that one method.

    1. First, check basic delivery issues
      • Make sure the Gmail inbox (including Junk/Spam) is not filtering or blocking messages from @accountprotection.microsoft.com.
      • Confirm the mailbox is not full and can receive new mail.
    2. Try another verification method or update security info
      • Go to the Security basics page and choose Update info.
      • If at least one method still works, select it, complete verification, then add a new email/phone under Add a new way to sign in or verify and use that going forward.
      • If the current email/phone is wrong or no longer accessible, choose I don't have any of these and follow the steps to replace your security info.
    3. If no verification option works
      • Start sign‑in to the Microsoft account.
      • At the Verify your identity prompt, select I don't have any of these.
      • Follow the instructions to replace all security info. After replacement, there is a mandatory 30‑day waiting period before normal sign‑in is allowed. During this period, existing security info can still be used, but using it cancels the update.
    4. If the password is not known and security info cannot be used
      • Use the Microsoft account recovery form. Read the guidance in Help with the Microsoft account recovery form, then submit the form via Recover account and provide as much accurate information as possible.
    5. If verification codes still never arrive
      • Avoid repeated code requests; too many attempts can cause a temporary block where codes are not sent.
      • If still blocked from receiving codes, wait and try again later, or use another method (alternate email, phone, or the recovery form).
      • If sign‑in remains impossible, use the Sign‑in helper tool to diagnose common sign‑in problems.

Support agents cannot send verification codes, password reset links, or directly change account details; recovery must go through the automated flows above.
