I'm using outlook calendar within Microsoft 365, as a desktop App. I need to order the list of calendars Alphbetically. How are calendars organized short of dropping and dragging a couple hundred calendars?

    Hi @Erick Click,

I completely understand the inconvenience you’re running into, especially when managing a large number of calendars. You’re absolutely right, at the moment, this is a product limitation in New Outlook. There isn’t a built‑in option to automatically sort calendars alphabetically. The only available method today is manual drag‑and‑drop, which is clearly not practical when you’re dealing with hundreds of calendars.

Please keep in mind that this is a user‑to‑user support forum. Moderators like myself are also regular users, and we don’t have the ability to change product behavior, access backend systems, or influence the roadmap directly.

Speaking as an Outlook user myself, I fully agree with you. Having an option to sort calendars alphabetically would make calendar management far more efficient and user‑friendly. Because of that, I’d strongly encourage you to upvote and support the following feedback items already submitted by the community:

Alternatively, you can submit your own feedback directly at Outlook · Community. This is the official channel where feedback goes straight to the product team and can be considered for future improvements. I’ve noticed that some of these existing requests are already marked with a status like “We’re considering this”,

which is a positive sign. With enough votes and visibility, there’s a much better chance this feature can make its way onto the roadmap and eventually into the product.

If this reply helps clarify the current limitation and points you to the right place to submit or upvote feedback, please kindly click “Accept Answer”. Accepted answers are automatically highlighted and pinned to the top, making it easier for other users with the same question to find this information and join you in supporting the feedback. Your voice truly matters, and collective feedback is one of the most effective ways to drive product improvements.

Thank you again for your patience and collaboration, and I genuinely hope this feature becomes available in a future update.

Microsoft needs to add this simple request to their roadmap.

In the Outlook for Windows desktop app, calendar order is controlled in the Calendar view under My Calendars. There is no automatic “sort A–Z” feature for calendars like there is for mail folders, so calendars must be arranged manually.

To control the order that is shown:

    1. Switch to Calendar view.
    2. Under My Calendars, right‑click a calendar and choose Move Up repeatedly until it appears where desired in the list.
    3. Repeat for any calendars that should appear at the top.

This is the only supported way in the provided documentation to organize the calendar list; bulk alphabetical sorting of “a couple hundred” calendars is not available.
