Not receiving Teams Meeting invites or direct Teams messages to Icloud email

I do not have teams on my phone. Has there been an update or change to how iCloud email receives teams meeting invites and messages?

I've had two instances in the last month where a client sent a Teams meeting invite to my icloud email, however there is no record of my receiving it. It isn't in my inbox or deleted email, or trash. I used to be able to receive messages and have not changed my configuration.

I can receive email. If they email the information to me, it comes through without details.

Thanks, I need to figure this one out!

    Dear Alesia Meeker

Thank you for posting your question to the Microsoft Q&A forum. I'm sorry to hear that you are not receiving your Teams meeting invites, and I appreciate you reaching out for assistance.

Since a Teams meeting invite is a standard email message, if you are seeing no trace of it anywhere, the most likely causes are mail delivery/filtering on the iCloud side, or the sender never successfully delivered it.

Let's try a few steps to resolve this, starting with the most common solutions.

Step 1: Check iCloud Webmail Directly

    • Go to iCloud.com Mail in a web browser and log in.
    • Search your inbox for the organizer’s email address/domain, or keywords like "Teams", "Microsoft Teams", or "teams.microsoft.com".

If the message exists in iCloud webmail but not your app, it is a device sync issue. If it is not in webmail either, that strongly points to the delivery failing or being filtered before it ever hit your mailbox.

Step 2: Ask the Sender to Verify Delivery

Please have the person organizing the meeting check their Sent Items folder for the invite and confirm the following:

    • The exact recipient address (to ensure there are no typos or old aliases used).
    • Whether they received any bounce-back (NDR) messages stating the email could not be delivered.
    • Ask them to try to Forward the original meeting invite email to you, rather than creating a new email.

Step 3: Use a Temporary Workaround

Since you mentioned that if they email the information to you, it comes through without details, you can ask the sender to provide the raw links in a plain text email to get you unstuck for your upcoming meeting:

    • Have them copy the Join meeting link directly from the invite body and paste it into a new email.
    • Ask them to include the dial-in number and conference ID if their organization uses one.

I hope these steps provide some immediate relief and guidance. I recognize the importance of your email account to you, and I'm here to help you through these troubleshooting steps.

Please let me know how these suggestions work for you, or if you'd like assistance in navigating Microsoft's support channels.
