I don't have freeze pane under view

Question

there is no freeze pane under view. I have view in excel but freeze pane is not highlighted.

In Excel, the Freeze Panes options on the View tab are disabled (not highlighted) when Excel is in a view mode that does not support freezing, or when using Excel Starter.

Use these checks:

1. Switch to Normal view
   • On the View tab, in the Workbook Views group, select Normal.
   • After switching to Normal view, the Freeze Panes options should become available.
2. Confirm Excel edition
   • If using Excel Starter, some features (including Freeze Panes) are not supported. In that case, Freeze Panes will not be available.
3. Then apply Freeze Panes
   • Go to View > Freeze Panes and choose:
     • Freeze Top Row, Freeze First Column, or
     • Freeze Panes after selecting the cell below and to the right of what needs to stay visible.

To remove freezing later, use View > Freeze Panes > Unfreeze Panes.
