Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.
To help narrow down the issue:
- Are you using a work/school account or personal Outlook?
- Does this happen on all links or just specific emails?
This error is often just a default browser or file association issue.
Let’s try this first:
- Press Windows + I to open Settings
- Go to Apps > Default apps
- Select your preferred browser (Edge or Chrome)
- Set it as the default for web links (HTTP and HTTPS)
After that, open the browser once, then try clicking a link in Outlook again.
If it still doesn’t work, check the file types:
- In Default apps, look for “Choose defaults by file type”
- Find .html and .htm
- Make sure both are assigned to your browser
This usually fixes that “organization doesn’t allow this” message.
