Windows 11 Pro upgrade problem

I'm just trying to upgrade my Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro, and the first time I did it, I had to wait to make the payment, so I just closed my computer, and then I tried to do it again, and it's saying session timed out, and it's not allowing me to buy Windows 11 Pro. Even though I tried to sign out, restart Microsoft Store, restart my computer, sign back in, I tried buying it from the browser. I feel like I tried everything that I could try and it's not allowing me to upgrade, and I really need it. Like, I really need the $99 upgrade for Microsoft Pro. I really need to get it as soon as possible.

    Hi, good day!

Please try to check your Microsoft order history first for any pending or incomplete transactions. If you find one, cancel it or wait for it to expire, then try purchasing the Windows 11 Pro upgrade again.

Reset the Microsoft Store cache using wsreset.exe, then try the Windows 11 Pro upgrade again.

Press the Windows Logo Key + R to open the Run dialog box,

    type wsreset.exe -i

    and then select OK.

    Note:

A blank Command Prompt window will open, and after about ten seconds the window will close, and Microsoft Store will open automatically.

After that, try the upgrade again immediately

I look forward to receiving your update and I'm willing to collaborate with you till we resolve the issue. Do keep me informed by clicking "Add comment" below.

Use the built-in upgrade paths and activation tools on the device; avoid repeatedly purchasing through the browser if the Store session is failing.

Follow these steps on the Windows 11 Home device:

    1. Confirm Windows 11 Home is activated
      1. Open Settings > System > Activation.
      2. Under Activation state, confirm that Windows is activated. The upgrade requires an activated copy of Windows 11 Home.
    2. Start the upgrade from System settings (preferred)
      1. In Settings > System > Activation, look for Upgrade your edition of Windows.
      2. Select Open Store next to Upgrade in the Microsoft app.
      3. When the Microsoft Store app opens to the Windows 11 Pro upgrade page, complete the purchase and follow the prompts to install Windows 11 Pro and restart the device.
    3. If the Upgrade your edition of Windows option is missing The note in the documentation states that if Upgrade your edition of Windows is not available, either Windows is already at Pro or the edition upgrade is not available on that device. In that case:
      1. First verify the edition under Settings > System > AboutWindows specifications to confirm it still shows Windows 11 Home.
      2. If it already shows Windows 11 Pro, the upgrade has completed and no further purchase is needed.
    4. If the Store session keeps timing out or blocking purchase
      1. Make sure the Microsoft Store app is opened from Settings > System > Activation > Open Store, not from the browser.
      2. Confirm the same Microsoft account is used in the Store that will own the license.
      3. If the error persists, use the Microsoft Store app to search for Windows 11 Pro and start the upgrade from there, as described in the business upgrade guidance (search and then choose the option to upgrade to Windows 10/11 Pro and follow the prompts).
    5. If there is already a digital license for Windows 11 Pro If a Windows 11 Pro digital license is associated with the device or account, the Activation troubleshooter can upgrade without repurchasing:
      1. Open Settings > System > Troubleshoot.
      2. Run the Windows Activation troubleshooter.
      3. If it reports “You have a digital license for Windows 11 Pro, but Windows 11 Home is installed,” select Upgrade to Windows 11 Pro and then Start upgrade. Wait for the upgrade to complete and the device to restart.

If the Store continues to block the purchase after these steps, direct support from Microsoft is required, as the payment/session issue is on the commerce side rather than the Windows upgrade mechanism.
