Dear @ROBERT VAN DER GUGTEN,
I hope you’re having a good day.
In New Outlook for Windows, holiday calendars are no longer added or imported by individual years (such as “2026”). Instead, Outlook uses country‑based holiday calendars that are maintained and updated automatically by Microsoft.
That means Sweden holidays for 2026 are already included, as long as the Sweden holiday calendar is added to your Outlook.
In New Outlook for Windows, you can add them as follows:
- Open New Outlook and switch to Calendar view.
- Below the calendar grid, select Add calendar, then choose Holidays.
- From the list of countries, select Sweden and confirm.
- Once added, Outlook will display Swedish public holidays for all supported years, including 2026, and will continue to update them automatically if changes occur. There is no separate option to import holidays for a specific year.
For Microsoft 365 work or school accounts, you can also add the Sweden holiday calendar from Outlook on the web. Holiday calendars added there are subscription‑based and will automatically sync to New Outlook for Windows:
Sign in to Outlook on the web > Open Calendar > Add calendar > Holidays > Select Sweden.
This is the recommended approach, as holiday calendars in New Outlook and Outlook on the web are managed centrally by Microsoft and always include upcoming years such as 2026.
I hope this information helps point you in the right direction. If you run into any issues while trying the steps, or if something still doesn’t feel quite right, please don’t hesitate to reach out again. I’ll do my best to support you however I can.
Looking forward to hearing back from you with any updates or additional details.
Warm regards,
