Sounds like you'll need to add a routing table to your layer 3 switch to connect the different networks.

Hello
I am trying to get my 6 different VLANS to communicate with each other on the same Hyper V Host.
In fact my networking skills are very rusty and i am looking for some help and guidance.
The below is my setup:
i have a Managed Switch with VLANs with an uplink from the switch allowing VLAN ip of 172.16.x.x to the physical servers port.
there are 4 physical ports on the server.
All the Operating Systems are windows server 2012.
Physical Dell Server (Hyper V Host) - 172.16.x.x
2 x Domain Controllers residing on the Host - 10.2.0.x1 and 10.2.0.x
2 x DHCP Servers residing on the Host - 10.1.85.x1 and 10.1.85.x
i need to have 3 additional domain controllers for 3 remote locations and their subnets are as follows:
i am able to have communication between my 2 domain controllers
i am able to have communication between my 2 DHCP Servers
But my DHCP Server and domain controllers cannot reach each other.
Just to add on, i have added an external switch but i cannot get the 10.2.0.x subnet servers to communicate with my 10.1.85.x servers.
How do i achieve this?
need help and guidance please.
