    Hi Michael Cripps

From your post, it sounds like you want to move all existing mail from one account to another using Outlook on your iPad.

If that’s the goal, please kindly note that Outlook for iOS can add and switch between multiple accounts, but it does not provide a mailbox migration/import tool in the iPad app itself.

I can see there's already a Q&A Assist reply under your post. To avoid repeating it, could you please confirm whether you already tried those suggestions, and if yes, what part was difficult or did not fit your situation?

To narrow this down properly, could you also clarify what the destination account is:

    • another Microsoft 365 / Exchange mailbox, or
    • a personal Outlook.com mailbox?

And just to confirm, do you also have access to a Windows PC or Mac with desktop Outlook, or do you need a solution that works only on the iPad?

If you need to move the entire mailbox: Microsoft’s official import/export articles show that mailbox export/import is done through desktop Outlook using a .pst file. Microsoft documents.

You can see these fficial Microsoft references:

Looking forward to your reply and thanks for your understanding.

On iPad or Outlook mobile there is no built‑in way to bulk “move” or migrate all mail from one Microsoft 365 mailbox into another mailbox. Outlook for iOS can connect to multiple accounts, but it does not provide a migration tool between those accounts.

To migrate mail between Microsoft 365 accounts, supported options are:

    1. Use a desktop Outlook client (Windows or Mac) with both accounts added, then:
      • Export mail from the source account to an Outlook Data File (.pst).
      • Import that .pst into the target account.
The documented export/import flow (shown for moving from Gmail, but the same mechanism applies) is:
      • In Outlook: File > Open & Export > Import/Export.
      • Choose Export to a file > Next.
      • Choose Outlook Data File (.pst) > Next.
      • Select the mailbox or Inbox, check Include subfolders > Next.
      • Browse to choose a location, OK > Finish.
      • Then, in a profile where the destination account is configured, use File > Open & Export > Import/Export again to import that .pst into the new mailbox.
    2. Use an admin‑level migration method (IMAP or other Exchange Online migration paths) from the source mailbox to the destination mailbox. IMAP migration moves mail folders only (no calendar/contacts) and must be run from the service side, not from the iPad client.

On the iPad itself, Outlook for iOS can only:

    • Add each Microsoft 365 account separately (subject to the region restriction for multiple Microsoft 365 accounts in Outlook mobile).
    • Let the user move or copy individual messages/folders manually within a single account, but not bulk‑migrate one mailbox into another.

Therefore, to move all email from one Microsoft 365 account to another, use a desktop Outlook client or an admin migration tool; the iPad Outlook app alone cannot perform a full mailbox migration.
