I have Office for MAC - Ver. 16.107.3, and this option is not available on the ribbon, under the "INSERT" tab or "DATA" tab.

Checked several other post about this and I have addressed the issues they mentioned.

  1. Preferences -Turn on Connected Experiences - Done
  2. preferences - Ribbon shows Data from Picture but not on the spreadsheet screen even at "full screen" User's image Any suggestions? Is this version supposed to have it?

Contrary to what the AI bot spouted forth the feature most definitely is available in Excel for Mac. However, there are some exceptions

The perpetual license versions [Office 2021, 2019, 2016] do not receive new features which are inrtoduced to Microsoft 365 Subscribers. Similarly, Enterprise versions [such as LTSC] do not receive new feature or receive them at the discretion of the licensee.

If your version qualifies & is fully updated it should be installed automatically into the Get & Transform group on the Data tab of the Ribbon: User's image

If necessary it can be activated from the Ribbon & Toolbar Preferences:

    User's image

Excel’s Data from Picture feature is documented only for Excel for Microsoft 365 on Windows, with specific OS and WebView2 requirements. The provided documentation does not list support for Excel for Mac, and the Mac-specific issues list does not mention Data from Picture at all.

Based on the available information, Data from Picture is not a supported feature in Excel for Mac, so the icon will not appear on the ribbon in that environment even if it is visible in ribbon customization settings.
