I recently wiped my Windows 10 hard drive and installed Windows 11 from USB.

I am logged on to Microsoft Account on this device.

This device is not in the Devices list on Microsoft Account.

Why not ?

    Hi!

How to fix TraceID: h9wcAYkDnEiLDogi.20.102 on my Windows 11 laptop

Where are you experiencing this error? When logging in via a browser, Windows, the Microsoft Store, or the Microsoft app?

Your device should have been automatically added to your account upon login.

When you perform a clean install, you should install updates and drivers. If you haven't done so, follow the steps below:

    1. Open System Configuration > Click "Windows Update" > "Check for updates".
    2. Download all available updates. Click "Advanced Options" > "Optional Updates" > Select all available drivers and updates > Click "Download and Install".
    3. Restart your computer.
    4. After installing the updates, check if your device has appeared.

Windows 11 devices are normally added to the Microsoft account devices list automatically when signing in with a Microsoft account. There are two main reasons a freshly installed Windows 11 PC might not appear:

    1. The device has not yet registered itself with the Microsoft account service.
      • Windows 10/11 devices are automatically added to the devices list when signing in, but this can take some time and requires successful communication with the Microsoft account service.
    2. The device is not recognized as a standard consumer Windows device for registration purposes (for example, if it is managed by an organization or not fully set up under a personal Microsoft account context).

To help ensure the device can be identified more easily once it does register, rename the PC so it is recognizable in the devices list:

    1. Open Settings in Windows.
    2. Select Rename this PC.
    3. Enter a new name and select Next.
    4. Select Restart now or Restart later.

After the device has been online and signed in with the Microsoft account for a while, check the devices page again to see if it appears.
