My 365 account is expiring soon. I just purchased Office Home and Student 2024 and can't download it. I need help.

I currently have Microsoft 365 and it is expiring in June. I just purchased Office Home and Student 2024 and downloaded it but can't get out of 365 so I can load the 2024. Please advise. Thank you.

    Hi!

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

    Based from you information, right now your device is still tied to Microsoft 365 (subscription), so even though you installed Office Home & Student 2024 (one-time purchase), your apps are still running under the 365 license.

    First, you need to open and y Office app like Word or Excel, go to File > Account. Then you need to sigh out(M365) to the top right corner, after that close all the apps.

    Next, once you re-open Word or Excel it should ask you to sign in. (used the account that has your office 2024)
