Sibling entered his email for HOME administrator account

As soon as I built my PC, I went out and my younger brother asked if he can use it and I said yes. I came back and now HOME admin is now linked to his email instead of mine which I plan to configure when I get back home. How do I change this to my email instead?

Blue is my younger brother's, pink is mine.Screenshot 2026-04-02 141302

    Open the Settings App.

Go to Accounts - Your Info.

On that Settings window, do you have either the option to 'Switch to a Local account', or an option to 'Stop automatically logging into apps with this account'.

If either option exists, select it.

That will switch your Windows login to a Local account, then you can add back your Microsoft account details.

To change the PC so it uses a personal Microsoft account instead of a sibling’s, add the correct account for apps and then remove the sibling’s account from Windows.

    1. Open Settings on the PC.
    2. Go to Accounts > Email & accounts (or use the shortcut link: Email & accounts).
    3. Under Accounts used by email, calendar, and contacts, or under Accounts used by other apps, select Add a Microsoft account.
    4. Sign in with the own Microsoft email address and complete the prompts.
    5. After the account is added, in the same Email & accounts page, select the sibling’s Microsoft account.
    6. Choose Remove account (or Remove) to disconnect it from Windows apps.

If the sibling’s account is also the Windows sign‑in account (the one shown at the top left of Settings), create a new local or Microsoft user account for the owner and make it an administrator, then sign into that account and remove the sibling’s user account from Settings > Accounts > Other users. Limiting administrator accounts is recommended because they have full control over the system.
