I had completed Microsoft certifications using my company account (work email). I recently left the organization and no longer have access to that account.

I am writing to request assistance in recovering access to my Microsoft AZ-104 certification. I originally registered and completed the exam using my Cognizant corporate email address. However, that email account is no longer active as I am no longer with the organization. I do have the Credential ID associated with my certification and can provide it for verification. I kindly request that my certification record be transferred or linked to my personal Microsoft account so that I can continue to access and share my credential. Please let me know the steps required and any additional information or documents you need from me to complete this process.

following are the details related to my certification

Work Email ID (No longer exist): ******@cognizant.com

personal Email ID: ******@gmail.com

It is not possible to transfer certification between Microsoft Learn profiles. You must have access to the email account associated with the Microsoft Learn profile. You are strongly advised to link a personal email account to your Learn profile along with any work accounts so that you do not lose your certifications

Microsoft Certifications and Learn profiles cannot be merged or moved manually by community or forum support; only the official credentials support team can investigate and fix profile/account issues such as:

    • Certifications earned under a previous work account that is no longer accessible.
    • Needing certifications to appear under a different Microsoft Learn profile.

    The supported path is:

    1. Confirm the correct Learn profile
      • Sign in to Microsoft Learn with the personal account that should hold the certification.
      • Verify this is the intended profile and note the Contact Email configured there.
    2. Contact Microsoft Credentials Support
      • Use Microsoft Credentials Support to open a support request: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/support/help
      • In the request, provide:
        • Full name as it appears on the exam result.
        • Old work email address used to register and take the exam.
        • Personal Microsoft account email that should hold the certification.
        • Exam name (AZ-104), date, and any IDs/registration numbers from the score report.
      • The support team can investigate the old profile and, where possible, associate the certification with the correct Learn profile.
    3. If the old login was a personal Microsoft account
      • If the exam was tied to a personal Microsoft account that is now inaccessible, recovery is only possible through Microsoft Account self-service tools (for username/password recovery and account reactivation). Microsoft Credentials Support cannot recover or move data from a personal account that cannot be accessed.

Because this scenario involves account identity and certification data, only Microsoft Credentials Support can complete the transfer or correction after verifying ownership with the details provided.
