I accidentally clicked Block. How do I fix it?
If you select Block, the browser will stop sending data to TurboTax. Find your browser and follow these steps to reset it:
Google Chrome
To the left of the address bar, select the View site information icon. It's two horizontal lines with toggles.
Make sure Apps on device is toggled on.
Press F5 to refresh the page or go back to TurboTax and restart the import.
The prompt should reappear, or the connection will now proceed automatically.
Microsoft Edge
To the left of the address bar, select the lock icon.
Next to Local network, choose Allowed from the dropdown.
Press F5 to refresh the page or go back to TurboTax and restart the import.
The prompt should reappear, or the connection will now proceed automatically.
Mozilla Firefox
Firefox handles these requests differently, often blocking them via "Enhanced Tracking Protection."
To the left of the address bar, select the shield icon.
Make sure Enhanced Tracking Protection is toggled off.
To the left of the address bar, select the lock icon.
Select Clear cookies and site data.
Press F5 to refresh the page or go back to TurboTax and restart the import.
The prompt should reappear, or the connection will now proceed automatically.
Other tips
- If you use a VPN (like NordVPN or ExpressVPN), turn it off temporarily.
- Permissions often don't save in Incognito/Private windows. Use a standard browser window.
