Why is the Ukrainian language missing from the list of available languages in Microsoft 365? Today I purchased the application and then canceled the purchase after noticing that Ukrainian is not available for macOS.

Just to be clear, language in Office programs is used in 2 separate contexts: Display (UI) & Proofing.
Mac Office does not support Ukrainian as a Display language but it does provide a Ukrainian Spelling Checker. [Edit] The Speller is the only Proofing Tool provided for Ukrainian in Mac Office.

However, according to the list at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/proofing-tools-available-in-office-for-mac-e175007d-193d-4efc-afce-5e27a59f1057 , there is a spellchecker in Ukrainian but no grammar checker and no hyphenation tools, so the support is partial.
Not sure I understand your point, Stefan... I wrote only that the Ukrainian spelling checker is included in Mac Office. I didn't mention that any other Proofing Tools are provided for Ukrainian.

Bob, the purpose of my comment was to clarify that spelling support doesn't necessarily mean hyphenation support (or thesaurus support for that matter). It may not be 100% clear to everybody who reads the thread. I understand of course that you are aware of the distinction. :-)
