Can only sign into my account from one computer

I can login into my account from my laptop computer. However, on any other computer, when I try to login it says that I have too many failed login attempts and prompts me to reset my password. However, this hasn't changed my issue. Please help.

    Welcome Mike Lephart,

I understand how frustrating it can be when you can sign in to your Microsoft account on one specific laptop, but when attempting to sign in on other computers, you receive a message about too many failed sign-in attempts and are prompted to reset your password, which does not resolve the issue.

To help resolve this as quickly as possible, could you please confirm the following details:

    • Are you signing in to Outlook using a personal Microsoft account (ending in outlook.com, hotmail.com, or live.com), not a work or school account?
    • Do the other computers show this message immediately on first attempt, or only after entering the password once or twice?

I look forward to your reply so we can continue working together to address the issue.

Hi! Since you can still sign in on your laptop, this suggests the password itself may not be the main issue; it is more likely that the other computers are triggering Microsoft’s sign-in protection because of cached browser data, a stored bad session, or a suspicious sign-in pattern. On the affected computer, first try signing in in an InPrivate/Incognito window, then clear cookies and cached site data for the browser and try again.

If the message continues even after that, use Microsoft’s official Sign-in Helper,
