When does the "Manage" menu tab appear in the ribbon? Can it be made to appear by default?

I have no idea what it is for. Even though activated, it does not display.

It has one group with three buttons. That can be added to another active tab and shows as follows:

    User's image

On my system the first two buttons give a spinning arrow in a new Pane that says Content Loading and does nothing else.

The third gives the following Pane:

    User's image

The three panes activated by the buttons appear to be independent but will appear on top of each other rather than to the side. None of the buttons in the Sections Pane are active. The number at bottom right indicates that this is likely the first try at a new feature (1.0) The 2603 is my current version.

My guess is that this is something that someone is working on. I'm a bit afraid of what it might do. Looks like it could be helpful or could just be a way to really mess something up.

This is in Version 2603 Build 19822.20114 Microsoft 365 Family - Current Channel. There is a more recent update that I am receiving. I will write back if there is any difference in that one.

Do you sometimes see "Manage" as a main ribbon tab?

    EDIT

I see now what you mean. The Customize Ribbon category in the File > Options dialog box includes "Manage" in the list of main tabs, although this tab isn't shown by default.

I don't know what that tab is for, or under which circumstances it displays. Maybe someone else does.

Word tabs are context-sensitive and can't be controlled by the user. Sorry, I haven't been able to determine the circumstances under which it appears, it's not well documented.
