Hi,

I seem to have 2 Microsoft 365 subscriptions and don't know how to remove 1 of them. I have one attached to my email ******@yahoo.com and that subscription is about to renew in April, but I paid subscription in February (see below)? I don't need two and I'm not sure how I ended up with 2 subscriptions. How do I delete the one due in April and transfer the below to my ******@yahgoo.com account?

Subscription Information

Subscription: Microsoft 365 Family

Order Number: d53fb693-39f0-43dc-8fd9-7eb1ca513646

Plan Price: AUD 179.00 including taxes/1 year

This forum is just a user to user forum, no-one here has any account access, using any Microsoft account you may have, try using the steps they provide on this link to find out what that second payment was for.

Then use the steps they provide on this link to cancel whatever that second payment was for and get a refund.

If you are still unable to resolve that second payment problem, you will need to contact Microsoft Support directly, try using this method to contact their support.

    Go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

    Select Microsoft 365

    Click 'Get Home Support'.

In the box provided, type billing.

Press Enter, then on the next page, scroll down and click 'Sign in to Contact Support'.

Navigate to Microsoft 365 and Office - Manage my Subscription.

Select the 'Chat with support agent in web browser' option

To manage or cancel one of the Microsoft 365 subscriptions and avoid being charged twice, follow these steps for each account separately.

    1. For the subscription on the Yahoo account (renewing in April):
      1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/microsoft365 and sign in with the Microsoft account that is linked to the Yahoo email address.
      2. Under Services & subscriptions, locate the Microsoft 365 subscription that renews in April.
      3. Select Cancel subscription (or Upgrade or Cancel) and follow the prompts.
        • If instead of Cancel there is only Turn on recurring billing, that subscription is already set to expire and will not renew; no further action is needed.
    2. For the subscription purchased in February (renewing 20 February 2027):
      1. Sign out, then go back to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the Microsoft account that was used to buy the Family subscription in February (this may be a different Microsoft account than the Yahoo-based one).
      2. Confirm that the Microsoft 365 Family subscription with renewal date 20 February 2027 appears and is active.
    3. If one of the subscriptions was purchased through a third-party retailer (for example, app store or another retailer) instead of directly from Microsoft:
      • That subscription must be cancelled with the retailer’s billing support, as described in the guidance: if the subscription was purchased with recurring billing from a third-party retailer, contact that retailer directly to cancel.
    4. Transferring a subscription between accounts is not supported in the documentation provided. To keep only one active subscription on the desired account, cancel recurring billing on the unwanted subscription and continue using the active Family subscription on the account where it was purchased.
    5. If a refund is needed for one of the overlapping subscriptions:
      1. Sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/services with the account that was charged.
      2. Use the subscription management page to cancel and follow the refund eligibility flow as described in the cancellation article.

If there are still duplicate charges or the correct subscription cannot be identified or cancelled using the steps above, contact Microsoft Billing Support from the support/contact page and choose Microsoft 365 → Billing and payment to have an agent review both subscriptions and charges.
