Hi there,

I have been locked out of my windows account (******@hotmail.com). I have been unable to use the reset options as 1 part of the 2FA (the option to have a code sent to my phone) said it is not currently working, which resulted in my getting a further error message which says I requested too many codes.

It would be greatly appreciated if I could get some assistance.

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

If you have two-step verification turned on in your Microsoft account, you cannot use the Account recovery form here to recover your account.

Instead, you can submit the account reinstatement form to the Microsoft account digital safety team to review the reasons why your account was disabled, and they will help reinstate your account, possibly within 24 hours.

    Request for Account Reinstatement:

    https://www.microsoft.com/digitalsafety/account-reinstatement

Select "I am getting an error that my account has been temporarily blocked," and hit submit.
