Microsoft 365 MFA lockout - Data Protection Team not responding for 8+ hours

I accidentally deleted my Microsoft Authenticator app and am now completely locked out of my Microsoft 365 business account. I'm the only Global Admin with no backup MFA methods.

I submitted an urgent support ticket over 8 hours ago. Support said they transferred me to the "Data Protection Team" for MFA reset, but I have received ZERO contact from them despite this being a critical business issue.

My business email has been completely down all day. I cannot access anything.

Questions:

  1. How long does Data Protection Team typically take to respond?
  2. Is there any way to escalate an MFA lockout case?
  3. Has anyone successfully recovered from this situation?

I'm shocked that Microsoft claims 24/7 support but leaves business customers locked out for an entire business day.
