my pictures suddenly became very small... how do i make them back to normal size as they were?

In File Explorer, on the top menu, select View, and set that to Large icons, that should increase the size of the images in oyur Pictures folder, if not press and hold Ctrl on your keyboard and scroll up on your mouse wheel..

In many Microsoft apps, pictures can appear “suddenly small” because of zoom or scaling changes, not because the actual image size changed. To get them back to a normal view, adjust zoom or reset the picture size, depending on the app being used.

For Office apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher):

1. Reset zoom
   • Open the document.
   • Go to the View tab.
   • In the Zoom group, set zoom back to 100%.
2. Reset or rescale the picture
   • Right-click the picture and select Format Picture.
   • Go to the Size tab.
   • Under Scale, increase Height and Width percentages (for example, back toward 100%).
   • To keep proportions correct, select Lock aspect ratio so height and width change together.
3. Use “Reset Picture” where available
   • Select the picture.
   • Under Picture Tools, on the Format tab, click Reset Picture to restore the original inserted size.
4. For distorted or stretched images (Publisher/Excel)
   • In Publisher: use Design Checker → fix Rescale Picture, or manually set identical values for Height and Width under Scale to restore proportional size.
   • In Excel: select the image, open the Picture format pane, and click Reset to return it to the original inserted size.

If the images only look small in File Explorer or the Photos app, adjust the view/zoom there (for example, change icon size in File Explorer or use zoom controls in the Photos viewer) rather than changing the actual picture size.
