Cant log into migrated minecraft account - email I used said it doesn't exist

A while back (2022) I migrated my minecraft account to microsoft.

I've been using it ever since using the same login, now it logged out for some reason and I can't log back in.

When I use the same mail that I know, it doesn't log me in, but does log in with a different one that doesn't have minecraft.

I want to recover my account by finding out the mail to the account, but I do not have access to support. Microsoft forces me to ask help from the community - I need someone official to help me find the mail.

Please microsoft support - contact me.

The xbox gamertag should be 'PII removed', the minecraft username is 'PII removed'.

    Hello erez skla,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Please understand that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to cover your personal information in the description. Please notice to hide these personal or organization information next time you post error or some information to protect personal data. Before we proceed, can you please go to the Minecraft website and try to log in to see if you still see the correct account there? If you do, can you please try to download the game from that site and see if you can play it?

While Minecraft account has been migrated to Microsoft Account, the 2 platforms still work independently. So purchases and games license bought in Minecraft website won't reflect on your Microsoft account.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors including external Microsoft employees cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited to providing technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas. I'll do my best to help you locate and play the game on your own, but for more information about your account, please contact Microsoft Support. Thank you for your understanding.

The email address for the migrated Minecraft/Microsoft account cannot be looked up or changed by the community or by support outside of the official self-service flows. To regain access, only the documented Microsoft account recovery options can be used.

    Use these steps in order:

    1. Confirm whether the email being tried is a Microsoft account
      • Go to https://account.microsoft.com and enter the email address.
      • If a password prompt appears, that address is a Microsoft account.
      • If the message "We couldn't find an account with that username" or "That Microsoft account doesn't exist" appears, that address is not an active Microsoft account. In that case:
        • Check spelling of the name and domain (for example, .com vs .co.uk).
        • The account may have been closed. See the guidance in the referenced article below.
    2. If the correct Microsoft account email is known but the password does not work
      • Follow the “My username and password have stopped working” steps:
        1. Go to the Recover your account page: https://account.live.com/password/reset.
        2. Enter the email, phone number, or Skype name used to sign in.
        3. Choose where to receive the security code and select Next.
        4. Enter the security code, then select Next.
        5. Set a new password.
      • If the email is not recognized, try any other alias or phone number that might be on the account.
    3. If the account email or username is forgotten or not recognized
      • Use the Sign-in Helper tool to look up the Microsoft account or resolve sign-in issues: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2214157.
      • If the username used to work but is now not recognized, follow the “My username has stopped working” guidance from the referenced article.
    4. If access fails due to lost security info or a compromised account
      • If the normal reset flow does not work and the account appears hacked or the security info was changed, complete the Microsoft account recovery form (ACSR). Guidance is in Help with the Microsoft account recovery form.
      • Before filling out the form:
        • Prepare a working contact email (can be any account, even a new Outlook.com address) to receive updates.
        • Provide as much accurate information as possible about the account when prompted (old passwords, approximate creation date, etc.).
      • Microsoft reviews the form and responds to the contact email, typically within 24 hours.
    5. If the recovery form is unsuccessful
      • If the account recovery form is repeatedly denied or the system reports that the account does not exist, the account cannot be recovered by support. This includes cases where a hacker has replaced all security information.
      • In that situation, Minecraft entitlements tied to that Microsoft account may not be recoverable; separate contact with Minecraft support is required for any game-side options.

Community forums and this channel cannot access, reveal, or modify account emails, gamertags, or Minecraft profiles. Only the official sign-in, recovery, and ACSR processes can be used.
