If you no longer have access to any admin account, you cannot cancel the subscription yourself on Microsoft Admin Center. In this case, Microsoft Support must verify ownership and shut it down for you.

When you call, having your order confirmation, purchase email, and any error messages handy will help them assist you faster. Please be ready to share:
- The email address used for purchase
- Any payment confirmation details
- The user name
- Transaction information such as the final four digits of the card number, the type of card used, the cardholder’s name, and the card’s expiration date.

Here are some tips and an example of a prompt to help you navigate the IVR more effectively:
IVR: What kind of problem are you concerned about?

Verification: Education or company account?

IVR: Are there any other administrators in your organization?

If you cannot reach a live agent, there is still a workaround, you might consider registering for a new tenant by signing up for a trial subscription.
To set up a new tenant, please follow these steps:
Visit Microsoft 365 Business Plans and Pricing | Microsoft 365. This would allow you to create a new tenant following the prompts provided. Once set up, you can access the admin console of the new tenant and submit a support ticket requesting to speak with the Billing Team on behalf of your previous tenant.
Follow the guided setup process to create a new account for a new tenant.
Once your tenant is created, you should be able to access the support portal and submit your ticket referencing your locked account without further issues.
In your support ticket, please clearly state that you’re attempting to cancel a subscription but no longer have access to the original account. Below is a sample message you may use or modify as needed:
Hello, I’m currently unable to access my original Microsoft 365 tenant. I am the Global Administrator for that tenant, but I’m locked out and cannot sign in. I created this new tenant solely to request assistance. I kindly request to be connected with the Billing Team so my identity can be verified and the subscription associated with the original tenant can be cancelled. I’m happy to provide any documentation or verification required to support the recovery and cancellation process.
