I have charge 10.80 monthly. I do not know which email address it is attached to . I have tracked issues down by card number before but can't remember how to do that. Where can i track down a charge by only using my card number since i do not know which email account the charge is coming from?

Tracking a Microsoft charge cannot be done directly by card number alone through Microsoft tools; it must be matched to a Microsoft account and its order/subscription history.

Use these steps to identify the account and charge:

    1. Check Microsoft order history for each possible account
      • Go to the order history page: account.microsoft.com/billing.
      • Sign in with each Microsoft email address that might be used.
      • Select Payment & billing > Order history and refine by date range around when the $10.80 charge occurs.
      • Look for a matching amount with status Completed or Redeemed.
    2. Use the “Investigate” option for unrecognized charges
      • When the correct account is found, go to the Manage your payments page of that Microsoft account dashboard.
      • Select Investigate next to the payment method/charge to see details and possible subscription causing the monthly $10.80.
    3. Typical reasons for recurring monthly charges
      • A Microsoft subscription with recurring billing enabled (for example Microsoft 365).
      • Purchases or subscriptions made by a family member using that card.
      • In-app purchases or game-related subscriptions.
    4. If the account cannot be found
      • If none of the Microsoft accounts show the charge in Order history, contact the bank or card issuer and dispute the transaction as unrecognized or potentially fraudulent. They can block further charges and may issue a new card.
      • If the subscription belongs to someone else and account access is not available, cancellation through Microsoft is generally not possible; the bank/card issuer is then the primary path to stop charges.

For any charge that is found and recognized in an account, use that account’s Services & subscriptions and Order history pages to manage, cancel, or request a refund according to eligibility.
