    Hello,

How did you obtain your license initially?

Did it come with the device preinstalled, or did you purchase it?

If you purchased it, did you purchase from Microsoft, or from third party?

Is it originally a Win7/8 key?

Just to make sure, is motherboard changed? Or is this first time using it?

As for the internet issue, Can you go check your Windows Settings > Windows update, and see if you might have  KB5085516 available to install?

KB5085516 was released on March 21st to address Microsoft account sign in issue (giving internet not connected error) among some apps caused by KB5079473 https://support.microsoft.com/topic/march-21-2026-kb5085516-os-builds-26200-8039-and-26100-8039-out-of-band-09e85404-1cb6-4ed4-9ca5-3e40d74307b9

Use the built-in troubleshooters to fix the internet issue first, then run activation again.

    1. Confirm Wi‑Fi or Ethernet is really online
      • Select the Network, Sound, or Battery icon on the right side of the taskbar.
      • Make sure Wi‑Fi is turned on and that the network shows Connected under its name.
      • If it does not show Connected, select the known network and connect again.
      • Also check Settings > Network & Internet > Airplane mode and ensure Airplane mode is Off.
    2. Run the Network troubleshooter
      • Select Start > Settings > Network & Internet.
      • In Windows 11, use Status (or the equivalent) and select Network troubleshooter, then follow the on‑screen steps.
      • Alternatively, on Windows 11, use the Network and Internet troubleshooter in the Get Help app via Run the troubleshooter in Get Help and let it automatically diagnose and fix issues.
    3. After internet is working, run the Activation troubleshooter
      • Sign in with an administrator account.
      • Select Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot.
      • Run the Activation troubleshooter. This option appears only if Windows 11 is not activated.
      • Follow the prompts; it will attempt to detect the license and activate once it can reach the activation servers.
    4. If activation still fails
      • Ensure the device stays connected to the internet while activation runs.
      • If the troubleshooter cannot fix it or reports server issues, use the guidance in Get help with Windows activation errors or Activate Windows from the references, or contact Microsoft support from the contact support link.
