    Hi, Paul Weaver

I suggest you follow the steps provided by the Q&A Assist as they are the essential steps to resolve this type of issue. In case you need direct assistance from Microsoft Support, here's the path you can follow:

    • Visit this website: Contact - Microsoft Support
    • Type Contact in the search box.
    • Now click Get help, and Select Contact Support or Sign in to contact support below.
    • Go to the Products and services tab, and choose either Microsoft 365 and Office category.
    • On the Category tab, choose Manage account subscription.
    • Go to Confirm.
    • You can now choose the option of Chat with a support agent on your web browser.

Important Note: The Chat support team only works at certain work times, (Monday to Friday: 9am to 6pm. Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) so if the last window says you are not available, try to open it again the next day. If you prefer phone support, you can leave a phone number. That way, they can call you and help you.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators and contributors, including external Microsoft employees, are not allowed to directly interfere with Microsoft product features or access back-end systems. Our role is limited solely to providing technical guidance on reported incidents, requests, or ideas.

Thank you for your patience in reading, I hope this information has been helpful to you.

The charge description indicates a Microsoft 365–related subscription. To pursue a refund and stop further charges, follow these steps:

    1. Investigate the charge
      • Go to the Manage your payments page of the Microsoft account dashboard to investigate unrecognized charges: use the steps under how to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft. This helps confirm which Microsoft account and subscription the charge belongs to and whether the account may be compromised.
    2. Check refund eligibility and cancel the subscription
      • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the Microsoft account associated with the charge.
      • Locate the Microsoft 365 or other Microsoft subscription matching the billing amount and date.
      • Select Manage.
      • Select Cancel (or Upgrade or Cancel, depending on what is shown) and follow the on‑screen instructions to complete cancellation.
      • After cancellation, check refund eligibility using the guidance in How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription. Not all cancellations result in a refund, and eligibility can depend on region and subscription status.
    3. If the charge is accidental or unauthorized
      • For accidental or unauthorized purchases, use the process in Returning items you bought from Microsoft for exchange or refund to request a refund for apps and games, or follow the subscription‑refund steps above for subscription charges.
      • If there is any suspicion that someone else used the account, follow the guidance to recover a compromised Microsoft account and secure it (change password, review sign‑in activity, and update security info).
    4. If the charge cannot be found or refunded
      • If the transaction cannot be located on any Microsoft account, or if the refund cannot be processed through the self‑service options, contact Microsoft Support for billing help using the Contact Microsoft Store Support or Subscriptions & billing support for Xbox entry points, as applicable.
      • If Microsoft and the financial institution determine the charge is fraudulent and not associated with an accessible account, the bank or card issuer may process a dispute (chargeback). Note that repeated misuse of chargebacks can be considered fraud.

For any subscription purchased through Google Play or Apple’s App Store, cancellation and refund must be requested directly from those stores’ support channels.
