Office 2010 can still be activated on Windows 10 using the same methods as on earlier Windows versions.
- Open any Office 2010 app (for example, Word 2010).
- Select File > Help.
- Click Activate Product Key.
- If Activate Product Key is not shown, Office is already activated.
- Follow the steps in the Activation Wizard:
- To activate online, choose I want to activate the software over the Internet and complete the prompts.
- If the Internet activation fails or the connection is slow, choose the option to activate by telephone and follow the prompts.
If activation still fails (for example, because Office 2010 has been installed too many times), use the telephone activation path and stay on the line until connected to a support agent, who can assist with activation on the new device.
Note that Office 2010 is no longer supported. To continue receiving updates and support, consider upgrading to Microsoft 365 or a newer Office version.
