You can download the installer and see instructions using the link below. NOTE! It is no longer possible to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 for free. You will not be able to activate the upgrade unless you have a legitimate Windows 10 license. Microsoft no longer sells Windows 10 and it nearly impossible to find a legitimate installation media with a license. Most of the licenses being sold by 3rd party sources are scams and invalid.

    Download Windows 10

To move from Windows 7 to Windows 10, use Windows 10 installation media or the Windows 10 Update Assistant, then keep Windows 10 updated.

    1. Back up important files from Windows 7 to external storage or cloud.
    2. Go to the Microsoft software download page for Windows 10 and download the Update Assistant or installation media tool (as described in the Windows Update FAQ). This allows upgrading an existing system to Windows 10.
    3. Run the tool from Windows 7 and choose the option to upgrade the current PC. Follow the on‑screen steps to complete the upgrade to Windows 10.
    4. After the upgrade, sign in and let Windows 10 finish setup.
    5. In Windows 10, install the latest updates:
      • Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates.
      • If updates are available, select Download & install, then restart when prompted.

Note: Windows 10 support ends October 14, 2025. After that date, Windows 10 will no longer receive free security updates, and moving to Windows 11 is recommended if the device meets requirements.
