I CAN'T THINK OF ENOUGH CUSSS WORDS TO DESCRIBE MY FEELINGS FOR THE IDIOT AT MICROSOFT THAT INSTALLED SOFTWARE OM MY SYSTEM THAT COULD, AND DID, TRASH MY ENTIRE SYSTEM, WITHOUT TELLING ME.

HADF I KNOWN I COULD HAVE SAVED A KEY BUT NO!!!!! THE SYSTEM JUST CRASHED AND IS UNRECOVERABLE.

SOMEONE SHOULD BE FIRED!!!!

I am running OS Windows 11 Home. Windows 11 home has bitlocker disabled by default. In the store where you bought the PC the store label would say if it has pro or not. Also on the box on the white sticker on that box it will say if it is windows home on it there too. The computer should be recoverable did you get a recovery cd-rom / usb device with the computer? You can ask the manufacture for one I know my MSI has the option to order one. Just bring it in to a computer repair shop it is fixable.

The machine is physically fine, just all access to the machine is blocked. My last option is to take it to someone with an external drive and reload Windows. LOSING EVERYTHING!!!

I'm sure some 12 year old at Microsoft is proud that they created a total block. Should be fired for not telling customers this could happen when the pc is purchased.

No one says you have to use BitLocker. Did you check Settings and set up the security you wanted to use when you set up your computer?
