Here is the link to buy just Microsoft Word. Please note, you're not saving money, it's the same price to buy Office 2024 Home edition.

    Hello !

The Microsoft Store on your PC won't let you buy just Word. You'll need to use the online version of the Microsoft Store.

Just click on this link to be redirected to the online MS Store : https://www.microsoft.com/microsoft-365/p/word/CFQ7TTC0PBMB?msockid=2ddfe72bc82c676e0e1bf14fc9036617 Just click on the "Buy now" button and continue to checkout.
Once the purchase has been completed, you'll find it at the bottom of the https://account.microsoft.com/services page. Click on the "Install" button and follow the steps.

Please let me know if you have any other question !

To get Word as a one-time purchase (not a subscription) on a new laptop, buy the standalone Word app or an Office one-time license that includes Word.

    Options based on the context:

    1. Buy Word only (standalone app)
      • Go to the Microsoft Store and search for Word.
      • Purchase the standalone version of Word for PC (one-time purchase).
      • Download and install it on the new laptop.
    2. Buy an Office one-time purchase that includes Word
      • One-time purchase suites such as Office Home & Student 2021 or Office Home 2024 include Word (and other apps like Excel and PowerPoint) and do not require a subscription.
      • From the comparison and pricing pages, choose a one-time purchase (not Microsoft 365, which is subscription-based), complete the purchase, then install and activate it on the new laptop.

If a Microsoft 365 subscription is already active and a switch to a one-time purchase is desired, turn off recurring billing for the subscription, let it expire, then buy and install the one-time Office product that includes Word.
