The Microsoft Store on your PC won't let you buy just Word. You'll need to use the online version of the Microsoft Store.

To get Word as a one-time purchase (not a subscription) on a new laptop, buy the standalone Word app or an Office one-time license that includes Word.

Options based on the context:

1. Buy Word only (standalone app)

   • Purchase the standalone version of Word for PC (one-time purchase).
   • Download and install it on the new laptop.
2. Buy an Office one-time purchase that includes Word
