There is no alternative manual way to recover or reveal the password beyond the automated recovery tools. When access to all security info (old phone number, recovery email, authenticator, etc.) is lost and the account recovery form fails, the account cannot be recovered.
The only supported options are:
- Try the Microsoft account Sign-in Helper and recovery form again
- Use the Sign-in Helper first to see if any sign-in issues can be automatically detected and fixed: Sign-in Helper.
- If that does not work, use the account recovery form again with as much accurate detail as possible, from a familiar device and location: Help with the Microsoft account recovery form.
- Ensure the working contact email you provide is accessible, because that is where responses will be sent.
- If two-step verification is enabled and no security methods are available
- If two-step verification was turned on and none of the alternate verification methods are accessible, support agents are not allowed to bypass or reset it. In that case, the account recovery form is the only path, and if it fails, the account cannot be recovered.
- If two-step verification is not enabled
- If two-step verification is not enabled and none of the verification options shown during password reset are recognized, use the Sign-in Helper tool as instructed above.
- Continue using the account on the iPhone while you transition
- Since the mailbox is still accessible on the iPhone mail app, keep that connection active so email continues to flow.
- Use that access to:
- Update email addresses on billing sites and other services to a new, fully controlled email account.
- Notify important contacts of the new address.
If the recovery form continues to be unsuccessful and no security info can be used, the account password cannot be recovered or reset.
